Christine's Favourite Therapy Quote:

“Vulnerability is not winning or losing; it's having the courage to show up and be seen when we have no control over the outcome. Vulnerability is not weakness; it's our greatest measure of courage.” Brene Brown

Entering a new therapeutic relationship can be daunting. My goal as a therapist is to create a comfortable space where you feel supported in your self-exploration. You are the expert in your life, and I’m here to walk alongside you, helping you uncover your inner strengths. Together, we’ll build a foundation of trust and collaboration, allowing you to progress at your own pace. I am committed to being a compassionate guide, helping you navigate the immediate and deeper aspects of your life with empathy and respect.

Practice Areas

I work with client who are experiencing a vast range of issues and concerns including anxiety, depression, stress, life transitions, relationship struggles, peer relationships, and self-esteem and confidence.

My areas of focus have primarily been with individuals who are experiencing grief and/or loss and neurodivergent folks. My approach is rooted in understanding and honoring each person's unique experiences and perspectives, helping them to develop strategies for self-advocacy, emotional regulation, and fulfilling relationships while engaging in self-exploration and reflection.

Education & Experience

I have completed a Bachelor’s degree majoring in Psychology from Laurentian University as well as a college diploma in Child and Youth Work Studies from Georgian College.

I have most recently graduated with a Master of Arts degree specializing in Counselling Psychology from Yorkville University.

I participate in ongoing individual and group supervision as well and continued professional development.
I have previously worked with school boards, the Canadian Cancer Society and volunteered with Seasons’ Center for Grieving Children.

Therapeutic Approach

Using an eclectic approach, I tailor sessions to the needs, wants and preferences of each unique client. I approach session through a client-centered lens with the integration of Emotion-Focused, Strengths-Based, Solution-Focused, Psychodynamic and Cognitive Behavioural approaches to tailor the therapeutic approach to each client. You can expect encouragement towards pursuing your goals while also challenging you to explore and confront obstacles. My approach integrates a blend of techniques and strategies, adapting to what resonates most with you and what best addresses the challenges you face. I strive to ensure that our therapeutic relationship is effective and meaningful.

About Christine

Outside of therapy, I enjoy playing soccer, spending time with friends and family, traveling, and listening to music. I find being around water calming, so I love visiting beaches and lakes. Sun and warmth motivate me to travel, especially during cold Canadian winters. I’m also passionate about volunteering and have found fulfillment supporting Season’s Center for Grieving Children and Special Olympics, where I have loved giving back to the community.
