Allison's Favourite Therapy Quote:

“To get through it, you have to go through it, not around it.” Lori Gottleib, 2019

Challenges and obstacles are a part of life, but no one individual will experience a challenge in the same way as another. It takes a lot of courage to face our challenges and reach out for help, and I am here to support you on this journey. My goal is to help you heal, so that you may live your most fulfilled and purposeful life.

Practice Areas

In my practice, I work with a wide range of presenting issues, including, but not limited to anxiety, relationship issues, burnout, infertility, depression, stress, codependence, and sexuality. Most recently, I have been focused on working with adults with ADHD on building supportive systems and behaviours, self-awareness, and integrating self-concept as it relates to living with ADHD.

Education & Experience

I have a Bachelor of Science in Biopharmaceutical Science from the University of Ottawa, and a Masters of Arts in Counselling Psychology from Yorkville University. I spent 15 years working in sales and marketing in the healthcare sector, providing me with invaluable life experience that I carry with me as a psychotherapist.

I am an independent Registered psychotherapist with CRPO, and practice under the supervision of Reesa Packard, PhD., RP.

Therapeutic Approach

Understanding you as an individual, whether in an individual or couples process, is key to the therapeutic process. As such, I believe in an integrative approach to therapy. I draw from Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), attachment-based, existential-humanistic, inter-relational, emotional focused, solution focused, and psychoanalytic modalities to create a therapeutic journey and process that is tailored to your needs.

About Allison

In my world, I try to engage with my creative side as much as time allows- cooking, painting, reading, puzzles are things that you may find me doing any day. I have recently taken up hiking and skiing to increase my time outdoors.

I live with my husband, my two stepsons, and our black lab.
