Caitlynn's Favourite Therapy Quote:
“To recognize that "I am the one who chooses" and "I am the one who determines the value of an experience for me" is both an invigorating and a frightening realization.” ― Carl R. Rogers
Reaching out to start therapy can come with a mix of emotions, uncertainty, and questions about what to expect. My goal is to make the process feel grounded, collaborative, and genuinely helpful from the beginning. I help adolescents and adults better understand their emotions, build healthier coping skills, and navigate stressful or overwhelming circumstances with more confidence and clarity. I often hear clients wanting a therapist who “gets them,” can provide structure, and communicates clearly—these are areas I prioritize in the therapeutic relationship.
Practice Areas
My approach is supportive and intentional. I work with clients to understand not only what feels difficult, but why it feels that way, and how we can create meaningful change. Whether we’re building emotional regulation skills, navigating anxiety or depression, life transitions or interpersonal relationships or helping ADHD management related challenges, I aim to make therapy feel collaborative and relevant to real life.
I am a compassionate and client-centred Psychotherapist (Qualifying) with experience supporting children, adolescents, adults, and families through a wide range of mental health and life challenges. My clinical experience has allowed me to work with individuals navigating anxiety, emotional and behavioural challenges, life stressors, developmental disabilities, brain injury, trauma, and other complex needs.
Education & Experience
Registered Psychotherapist (Qualifying)- CRPO, M.A in Counselling Psychology- Yorkville University, B.A in Behavioural Psychology- Seneca Polytechnic. Before becoming a psychotherapist, I gained extensive experience in behavioural and community-based settings. I have worked as a Behaviour Therapist within an interdisciplinary hospital team, I have also supported individuals in community mental health settings living with dual diagnoses and the effects of brain injury and provided crisis counselling to women who had experienced violence and abuse. Ongoing professional development allows me to continue expanding the knowledge and approaches I bring to my work with clients. ASIST 2026, ADHD Interventions 2026, Women’s Mental Health 2026.
Therapeutic Approach
My approach to therapy is grounded in evidence-based practices, while recognizing that every individual is unique. I believe therapy is most effective when clients feel heard, respected, and supported. I work collaboratively with clients to better understand their experiences, develop practical coping strategies, build emotional resilience, and create meaningful, sustainable change. I draw from Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT), Motivational Interviewing (MI), and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) while integrating mindfulness-based approaches. Rather than taking a one-size-fits-all approach, I tailor each step of therapy to your goals, pace, and lived experience.
