Katrina's Favourite Therapy Quote:

“The garden of the world has no limits, except in your mind.” – Rumi

I was once in your shoes, looking to begin counselling as I recognized that I needed support. Because of this experience, I also know how nerve-wracking the first step may be. Therefore, I will do my best to make therapy a positive experience for you. I am committed to guiding you on a path towards a more fulfilling, rewarding, and empowered life.

Practice Areas

The clientele that I typically work with consists of individual adults ages 18+, who struggle with stress, anxiety, depression, life stressors / transitions, job dissatisfaction, low self-esteem, emotional dysregulation, BPD, bipolar, and past traumas.

I also work with couples and families who are facing challenges and are looking to strengthen their relationship.

My practice places a strong emphasis on inclusivity, ensuring a safe and welcoming environment for individuals of all genders, sexual orientations, ages, races, and cultural backgrounds.

Education & Experience

I hold a Master of Arts in Counselling Psychology (MACP) from Yorkville University and am a registered member (qualifying) in good standing with the College of Registered Psychotherapists of Ontario (CRPO). Additionally, I am a member of the Canadian Counselling and Psychotherapy Association (CCPA). I am supervised by Robert Anderson, PhD, PR and Daniel Nadon, RP for adults and by Shannon Lawless, RP for couples.

Therapeutic Approach

I believe that building a strong therapeutic relationship is crucial as it is the foundation for trust, openness, and collaboration, and it fosters a safe and supportive environment where healing and growth can flourish.
I draw from various evidence-based modalities such as Cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), Solution-Focused Brief Therapy (SFBT), Mindfulness, Gottman, Person-Centred, with a Trauma Informed lens. Employing an integrative approach, I tailor treatment to your unique needs, ensuring that together we achieve lasting positive changes.

About Katrina

When I'm not working, I love spending my free time with family, friends, and my dog (and best friend) Leo. I also nurture my wanderlust spirit by going on road trips and travelling domestically and internationally, allowing me to connect with different cultures and experiences.
