Alli's Favourite Therapy Quote:

“It does not matter how slowly you go as long as you do not stop.” – Confucius

Thank you for reaching out. I understand that seeking support can sometimes feel intimidating, and I want you to know that this is a safe, welcoming space where you can express yourself freely and without judgment. My approach is person-centered, which means I meet you exactly where you are on your journey and work alongside you to explore and understand your unique experiences. Together, we’ll create a path forward that feels right for you, at your own pace.

Practice Areas

I work with individuals and couples, supporting those navigating trauma, relationship challenges, and emotional distress. My passion lies in helping people reconnect with themselves and find healing. I support clients who experience anxiety, depression, relationship issues, grief, and self-esteem struggles. In my practice, I take a compassionate, nonjudgmental approach, meeting clients where they are at, and empowering them to build resilience, self-awareness, and personal growth. My approach is tailored to the individual, creating a safe space for healing and transformation.

Education & Experience

I earned a Master of Arts in Counselling Psychology from Yorkville University. I also hold a
Bachelor of Arts with a double minor in Psychology and Counselling and Human Development,
as well as a Trauma Certificate from Wilfrid Laurier University. I currently practice under the
supervision of Reesa Packard, Ph.D., RP.
In addition to my professional training, I bring meaningful life experience to my work as a
counsellor. My background includes parenting, small business ownership, and many years
working in frontline social work and crisis response. These experiences have shaped the way I
approach counselling, fostering patience, openness, and a deep understanding of the
complexities and challenges people face in their lives.

Therapeutic Approach

My work is primarily grounded in a trauma-informed, person-centred approach, and is also
informed by Emotionally Focused Therapy. This means I focus on building a strong, trusting
relationship with my clients, creating a safe space where we can work together to strengthen
emotional connections. I help people recognize and build on their natural strengths, guiding
them through challenges in a way that promotes healing and growth. My goal is to help clients
develop more fulfilling relationships, emotional resilience, and self-awareness, while honouring
their unique experiences and personal journeys.

About Alli

Outside of my practice, I’m at home with my partner, two kids, and our dog and cat, it's always busy! I love spending time outdoors, especially walking my dog or going for a run to clear my head. My ideal Sunday involves coffee, lots of it, wandering the shops in my neighborhood, and playing with my kids. If there’s coffee involved, I’m happy.
