Amélie's Favourite Therapy Quote:

"With each sunrise, embrace the chance for renewal and growth." ― Unknown

My goal is to empower you to cultivate resilience and lead a more fulfilling life. I believe each individual is unique, deserving of being listened to, supported in their experiences, and accompanied in resolving their challenges and fostering their personal development. Changing past events may not be possible, but learning from these experiences and continuing to grow is achievable. My integrative approach will be tailored to your unique needs and goals while respecting your pace.

Practice Areas

I work with adults (18+) and older adults (65+). The therapeutic relationship, which we will develop collaboratively, aims to support you in making the changes you desire across various aspects of your life. I will be there to compassionately accompany you in resolving your difficulties, promoting healing, and fostering your personal growth.

My areas of expertise and interest include: Anxiety, Anger Management, Burnout, Climate Change Related Anxiety, Coping Skills, Depression, Emotional Regulation, Grief or Loss, 2SLGBTQIA+ Community, Life Transitions, Interpersonal Relationships Issues, Perfectionism, Self-Esteem, Self-Discovery Work, Sexuality, Self-Growth, Sleep/Insomnia, Spirituality, Stress, Trauma, and Women’s Issues.

Furthermore, I am committed to incorporating culture and spirituality/religion into your therapy sessions, should you choose to explore these dimensions. I believe in embracing and honoring the interconnectedness of your mind, body, heart, and soul.

Education & Experience

I earned a Bachelor in Psychology from Université du Québec en Outaouais and a Master of Arts in Counselling, Spirituality, and Psychotherapy from Saint Paul University. I gained valuable clinical experiences at the Counselling and Psychotherapy Centre and at Lacasse Counselling. I am also involved as a collaborator at Eco-Visions.

I am a Registered Psychotherapist (Qualifying) and am under the supervision of Dr. Reesa Packard, Ph.D., RP, and Jeanne-d'Arc Gosselin, M.A., PA, both Registered Psychotherapists & Approved Clinical Supervisors via CRPO.

Therapeutic Approach

My approach is to provide you with a warm, secure, respectful, and non-judgmental space in which you can express your emotions, thoughts, fears, needs, and even your dreams. I integrate evidence-based modalities such as Humanistic, Psychodynamic, Self-in Relationship (SIRP), Cognitive Behavioural (CBT), Emotion-Focused and Solution-Focused to create a therapeutic journey that is tailored to your needs, respecting your individual pace, and acknowledging the nuanced journey of recovery from different forms of trauma and life adversities.

About Amélie

Outside of therapy, I have a diverse range of passions, including connecting with animals and nature, cooking, baking, engaging in embroidery and various art forms, dancing, and exploring different cultures. I enjoy discovering meaning in life's subtle moments and strive to cultivate mindfulness by embracing a slower pace each day. My ultimate joy is spending time at home with my loved ones and my animals or out on my paddleboard with my dog, enjoying the tranquility of a peaceful river.
