Danielle's Favourite Therapy Quote:

“It’s a beautiful day to do hard things.” - Kimberley Quinlan

Life can feel overwhelming at times, and asking for support is not always easy. I admire your courage and strength in taking this first step. Together, we will create a safe and supportive space to explore your goals and work toward meaningful change. My goal is to work collaboratively with you to help you build insight, develop effective tools, and move toward the life you want to live.

Practice Areas

I specialize in working with adolescents and young adults, but I welcome the opportunity to support clients of all ages (12+). I often work with individuals navigating anxiety, depression, stress, relationship challenges, trauma, grief, and addiction. I also have a strong focus on supporting those living with ADHD—drawing from both clinical expertise and my own lived experience to help clients feel seen, understood, and empowered. In addition, I’m passionate about helping individuals build self-esteem and reconnect with their sense of self-worth. Also of note, I am an affirming therapist and deeply committed to providing a safe, supportive space for members of the LGBTQIA+ community.

Education & Experience

I have worked in the mental health field for over 10 years in a variety of community support and outreach roles, where I’ve seen firsthand the power of sharing life’s emotional challenges with a supportive professional. I hold a Bachelor of Health Sciences with a focus in Addictions Counselling from the University of Lethbridge and a Master of Arts in Counselling Psychology from Yorkville University. I am a currently under the clinical supervision of Jennifer Rogers, Registered Psychotherapist.

Therapeutic Approach

My approach to counselling is holistic and client-centered, taking into account the whole person and their unique story. I believe that each individual deserves a treatment plan tailored to their specific needs and goals. I draw from a range of evidence-based modalities, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), mindfulness-based practices, and solution-focused strategies. My goal is to work collaboratively with clients to foster self-awareness, build resilience, and support meaningful, lasting change.

About Danielle

Outside the therapy room, you’ll usually find me walking in the woods with my dogs, trying to keep my cats from sitting on my laptop, or getting lost in a new craft project. I love supporting local makers, exploring new places, and watching way too much reality TV (for “research,” of course). I’m also a podcast enthusiast—whether it’s true crime, mental health, or weird news from around the world, I’m probably listening to it with a cup of coffee (or a crispy diet coke) in hand.
