Jason's Favourite Therapy Quote:
“The privilege of a lifetime is to become who you truly are” -Carl Jung
It is nice to meet you and welcome! I provide a safe and non-judgmental space for you to openly discuss what you are going through and the goals/dreams that you wish to move closer to attaining! I often consider myself like that of a coach on a team. I will always be in your corner cheering you on, but that doesn't mean that I am not going to help push you towards the goals that you set for yourself. Let us work together towards that success!
Practice Areas
I primarily work with individuals aged 14+. I have direct clinical experience in the areas of interpersonal issues (e.g. boundary violations, issues in communication, relational issues, etc.), life transitions, burnout, stress management, sexuality, LGBTQIA+, anxiety and depression. Additionally, I am a certified Sex Therapy informed professional.
Education & Experience
I am a Registered Psychotherapist (Qualifying) in good standing with the College of Registered Psychotherapists of Ontario. I hold a Master of Arts in Counselling Psychology degree from Yorkville University and a Bachelor of Science in Psychology from the University of Ottawa. I previously worked in psychotherapy clinics in Ottawa supporting clients through their life situations. I am supervised under Noémie M. Kyryluk, RP, RSW, CST, M.A., M.C.A.
Therapeutic Approach
I utilize an integrative therapy focused lens while utilizing skill building techniques from both cognitive-behavioural therapy, and dialectical behavioural therapy. Other forms of therapies that may be used are interpersonal therapy, psychodynamic therapy, mindfulness-based therapies, and solution-focused therapy. I am flexible with his approach and curates it to the needs of the client. I use a collaborative, client-centred, biopsychosocial evidence-based framework to therapy putting the alliance between therapist and client at the forefront of care.
About Jason
When I don’t have my therapist cap on, I love to go out on walks in nature and spend time with family. I am quite an avid book reader and movie watcher often with a tea cupped into my hand at all times. I have a little rabbit named Benson of who is always getting into mischief.
