Rida's Favourite Therapy Quote:

Growth begins the moment you choose to see yourself with compassion – Kristin Neff

Welcome! I’m glad you are here. Whether you’re trying therapy for the first time or returning to your healing journey, I offer a supportive and inclusive space where your experiences are valued. Together, we can build on your strengths, explore new perspectives, and develop tools to help you navigate life’s challenges. My approach is rooted in compassion, collaboration, and hope, so you don’t have to face this process alone. Every therapeutic journey is unique, and I’m honoured to walk alongside you as you take this next step.

Practice Areas

I work with adults aged 17+ navigating anxiety, trauma, attachment or life transitions, particularly when cultural, systemic, or family pressures may be present. We all experience change, loss, trauma and life transitions whether related to body, identity, sexuality, job, work or school. Whether you’re feeling the physical symptoms of your mental health challenges, or navigating complex emotions, I’m here to support you.
I ground my practice in social justice and inclusivity, fostering a safe and affirming space where all identities are valued and respected. I support clients in building coping skills, fostering self-compassion, and reconnecting with their strengths. I understand human experiences can be complex and require tailored support and I aim to do that with hopefulness and evidence-based interventions and psychoeducation as applicable.

Education & Experience

I completed my Master of Social Work (MsW) from University of Carleton. Prior to this, I got my Bachelor of Science (BSc) from University of Toronto with a double major in psychology and health policy. I have worked with adults aged 16+ to seniors navigating diverse challenges and experiences. I am constantly engaging in professional development as well as personal reflection to ensure my learning is on-going. I am a Registered Social Worker (RSW), psychotherapist in good standing with OCSWSSW and a member of the CASW. I am also an active member of Psi Chi, the International Honor Society in Psychology. I work under the supervision of Jaden Bailey RSW.

Therapeutic Approach

I draw from a few different modalities in my work depending on the client and their needs. I approach my work from an anti-oppressive and intersectional lens focusing on people’s strengths and listening to their story. I draw from modalities including solution-focused therapy, narrative therapy, dialectical behaviour therapy and cognitive behavioural therapy. I am transparent in my sessions about the techniques or concepts being shared. I’m mindful of using language that helps you feel comfortable and understood throughout our sessions. I value evidence-based interventions as much as lived experiences and your story. You are the expert of your life.

About Rida

Outside of work, you can find me spending time with my Great Pyrenees and Bernes mountain dog, taking walks by the water or in the winter playing in the snow with her. I really enjoy going to the gym, nature walks and thrift shopping. On slower days, I enjoy baking yummy treats, journaling and watching some of my comfort shows and podcasts. I love being an aunt and spending time with my niece fills my cup.
