Stephanie's Favourite Therapy Quote:

“Let go of who you think you’re supposed to be; embrace who you are.” - Brené Brown

Everyone has difficult moments in their life that may include feelings of anxiety, depression, stress, grief or trauma. Reaching out is the first step in feeling better and moving towards personal growth and development. I am privileged to journey with individuals who have the desire to improve their emotional states and work towards becoming the best version of themselves.

Practice Areas

I work with individuals who are dealing with depression, anxiety, trauma, grief and stress. I also support clients with life challenges, such as interpersonal relationships, self-esteem and emotion regulation. I work with thoughts, feelings, behaviours and bodily sensations to support clients in better understanding themselves. I help clients to see themselves in a holistic sense to target their core beliefs and to notice patterns. I believe that knowing yourself more deeply is essential to feeling better.

I enjoy working alongside clients who are looking to understand themselves better by looking at patterns in their lives. I work with understanding our inner child more deeply in order to begin healing these parts of ourselves. I see many clients who struggle with self-esteem and boundary setting by focusing on self-compassion and mindfulness.

Education & Experience

I have received my Master’s in Counselling and Spirituality from St. Paul University, where I engaged in an internship and an externship at the Centre for Interpersonal Relationships in Ottawa. Since then, I have been working with Ottawa Psychotherapy Center.

I am currently under the clinical supervision of Reesa Packard, Ph.D., R.P., Registered Psychotherapist and Clinical Supervisor.

Therapeutic Approach

The relationship between therapist and client is the most important thing for me. I hold a safe and confidential space for clients, encouraged by empathy, compassion, transparency, and genuine support. I draw from multiple approaches in order to find the best approach for you, including Psychodynamic, CBT, Emotion-Focused Therapy (EFT), Mindfulness-Based Therapy and Inner Child Healing. Different approaches are integrated into my therapy to facilitate growth and development, as well as explore personal wounds and trauma.

About Stephanie

Outside of therapy, I enjoy hiking and being outdoors. I enjoy a variety of activities, such as biking, tennis, swimming, and longboarding. I enjoy reading fiction and watching movies with my two cats. I am a new mother, and enjoy spending weekends with my family while I learn to navigate parenthood. I love cooking and trying new things, learning and exploring new areas of interests.
